Fremont Mayor Honors TCML-I Fly Young Chinese School

On May 12, 2026, during a formal presentation at the Fremont City Council chambers, Mayor Raj Salwan officially proclaimed May 10–17, 2026, as Taiwanese American Heritage Week.
In a highlight of the evening, the Mayor extended special recognition to TCML-I Fly Young Chinese School for its outstanding contributions to the city’s cultural enrichment and educational development.
This honor acknowledges the school’s long-standing dedication to promoting Traditional Chinese education and preserving Taiwanese heritage, cementing its role as an indispensable pillar of Fremont’s multicultural community.
As a member of the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) network, TCML-I Fly Young Chinese School provides high-quality language curriculum while remaining committed to promoting Taiwan's traditional values and humanistic spirit.

Principal Selena Shan and Vice Principal Esther Kuo of TCML-I Fly Young Chinese School accepted the gold-sealed proclamation to the applause of those in attendance.
