Mandarin Summer Sessions: Learn as a Family!
Let’s start learning Mandarin this summer! Classes begin on June 15 and will be held twice a month on Sunday afternoons. Beginner lessons run from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, and advanced lessons from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.
Beginner classes are open to Formosa Family—including kids ages 10 and up! Parents are also welcome to join and learn together. Come and enjoy learning Mandarin as a family! Summer registration is required.

Join us this summer for a dynamic series of Mandarin language classes and cultural experiences tailored to learners at all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced speakers. Our summer program blends in-person and online learning with rich cultural content to help students build confidence, fluency, and cultural understanding.
✨ Beginner Mandarin – Pinyin, Pronunciation & Everyday Conversations ✨
This course focuses on the foundational elements of Mandarin, including accurate pronunciation through the Pinyin system and basic daily conversations. It’s ideal for students who want to build a solid base for further learning.
📅 Dates: July 12 – August 16, 2025 (6 weeks)
⏰ Schedule:
Saturdays (In-Person at Taiwan Center): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Wednesdays (Online): 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM
👩Who Should Join: Absolute beginners or those looking to strengthen pronunciation and everyday conversational skills.
✨ Intermediate Mandarin – Practical Topics for Everyday Life ✨
This interactive course explores real-life topics with relevant vocabulary and speaking practice, helping learners feel more confident using Mandarin in daily scenarios.
📅 Dates: June 7 – June 28, 2025 (4 weeks)
⏰ Schedule:
Saturdays (In-Person at Taiwan Center): 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
👩 Who Should Join: Learners with basic Mandarin ability who want to expand their vocabulary and situational fluency.
✨ Advanced Mandarin – Deep Dive into Taiwanese Culture ✨
Through advanced readings, discussions, and multimedia resources, students will explore Taiwan’s rich cultural traditions while refining their speaking and comprehension skills. This course is conducted primarily in Mandarin (90%).
📅 Dates: June 11 – July 30, 2025 (8 weeks)
